Through the viewfinder photography requires an old camera, like this Kodak duaflex pictured above or something similiar with the big lenses. Using a tube like contraption (made from plastic or cardboard) you block out the light in order to take a digital photograph of the the light that comes through the viewfinder itself. The picture from the viewfinder looks pretty cool. This technique works really well for macro photography also. The old lense lends a certain quality to the photos that would be unachievable through conventional methods.
I'm not a master photographer by any means, but I like the way people have found use for older cameras that would have been junked anyway.
