Police officers were called to investigate a strange odor emanating from an apartment building late Monday. Inside the building the officers discovered the crumpled frozen body of Dan Jackson huddled around a tiny space heater. Officials first believed he may have died from carbon monoxide poisoning, but toxicology tests indicated that an accuse buildup of artificial sweeteners from years of diet soda consumption was the actual cause of death.
